SCHOLARSHIPS

The Panhellenic Association at the University of Alberta believes that every person be given equal opportunity to pursue their dreams and aspirations in life; we wish to contribute by reducing the barriers surrounding Greek Life. Along with scholarships from each individual chapter, and our national Greek and Panhellenic organizations, our local Collegiate Panhellenic Council has created a scholarship unique to our community.

THE NEW MEMBER SCHOLARSHIP

Our budgets are created and funded by the payments of our members, which allow our sororities and council to put on events, fundraise charities, and arrange even more benefits. However, we know this can prevent interested people from joining our organizations, and for that, this scholarship was created to combat this issue.

This is an application-based scholarship awarded to two new members to pay for their first year of dues in one of our sororities, totaled at 500$+. The applications are assessed by academic success, engagement with the Greek Community, and the overall financial needs of the member themselves. The money is raised by the Junior Panhellenic Council by their yearly fundraiser. It will always be a minimum of 1000$ total (to be split amongst two members), and should there be more money raised, the scholarship value will be greater.

This is a unique scholarship offered only by our campus and to our local members!
